Groups and Camps

  • Looking for something more than just therapy?
  • Hoping to get some additional support as a parent or professional?

Wellspring periodically offers groups and workshops for children, teens, adults, parents and professionals. Additionally, our therapists are available for consultation services in your home, your child’s school, or with professionals in the community.

For Children and Teens

Difficult emotions can be overwhelming for children and teens, and they may feel isolated in their experience. Groups are a great way for children and teens to come together to learn skills and develop connections with individuals experiencing similar challenges. Providing this type of supportive environment can be helpful for normalizing children and teen’s experiences and allow them to feel more comfortable with opening up. Group topics may include college transitions, boys’ empowerment, coping with anxiety, etc. Attendance and participation in a group can also be an adjunct to your child’s individual therapy. Workshops

Workshops are provided on relevant topics to parents and professionals in the area and can allow parents and professionals to gain skills and tools to feel better supported with helping children. Workshop topics may include positive parenting practices, helping a child with anxiety, top behavioral strategies, preparing for the kindergarten transition, etc. Workshops are specifically developed to address issues and topics that most affect families living in Marin.

Consultations

In addition to our groups and workshops, Wellspring’s therapists are available to provide consultation to parents and professionals in the community. Consultation can be provided within the school or home setting. Each of Wellspring’s therapists have diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise allowing us to find a therapist that best fits the needs of your child and family. We pride ourselves on having strong and positive relationships with professionals in our community, including pediatricians, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, school counselors, etc. Our goal is to support your child across all environments through a collaborative approach.
