Alex is an Associate Clinical Social Worker who brings warmth, compassion, and genuine curiosity to his work. He views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process built on trust, where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward meaningful change. His work is strengths-based and guided by what matters most to each client. He believes that people are the experts in their own lives, and that every individual possesses unique strengths and resilience that therapy can help uncover and cultivate.

Alex received his Master of Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Los Angeles. During his clinical training, he worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families across medical and community mental health settings. He completed clinical placements at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and Fred Finch Youth & Family Services, where he supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral concerns, family conflict, grief, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. Prior to completing his graduate education, Alex worked to support immigrant and unhoused populations in Southern California.

Alex enjoys working with clients of all ages and backgrounds and is especially passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families. He values the honesty, creativity, and resilience young people bring to therapy and enjoys helping them better understand their emotions, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence in themselves and their relationships. He works collaboratively with parents and caregivers to deepen communication, emotional understanding, and connection within families. Alex is also committed to identity work, offering a nonjudgmental space for boys, men, and LGBTQ+ individuals to process their emotions and navigate life’s challenges.

Alex integrates a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. He is particularly experienced in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional and behavioral dysregulation.

When he’s not working, Alex enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, running, and heading to the beach. He loves to travel, especially visiting his family in Europe and spending quality time with his nieces.
