Meredith’s passion lies in working with children and families. She has extensive experience supporting children struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, emotion regulation, ADHD, ODD and separation anxiety. She prioritizes collaboration with parents, and has specialized training in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), a parent coaching model designed for children ages 2 to 8. This model empowers parents with effective tools to address challenging child behaviors such as tantrums, power struggles, impulsivity, defiance, aggression, and verbal negotiations.
Meredith also brings expertise in helping children and parents navigate the complex challenges of separation and divorce. She understands the importance of providing support and guidance during these transitional periods, to help facilitate healthy adjustment for all family members.
Meredith earned her BA in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, as well as a Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential and a MS in Counseling Psychology, both from Dominican University of California. Meredith began her professional journey as an elementary school teacher and has seamlessly integrated her love for teaching and psychology as a therapist, MFT clinical supervisor and trainer in school, college, and private practice settings. As the Clinical Director of Wellspring Psychotherapy Center, Meredith has the opportunity to lead a dedicated team of clinicians and staff in providing high-quality mental health services and oversees the center’s operations, ensuring each client receives the highest quality of care.
Meredith’s personal experiences raising her daughter help her deeply understand the joys and challenges of parenthood and contribute to her empathic approach when working with youth and families. Meredith’s favorite daily activity is walking her two pups, Lady and Bear, in the quiet, early morning hours and she finds joy in everything sun and water-related. Whether it’s swimming in a pool, diving in the ocean, or simply basking in the warmth of the sun, she embraces outdoor activities that rejuvenate her spirit and bring tranquility.
