Rebecca, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, approaches her therapeutic work with curiosity and compassion. She believes therapy is a space for self-exploration where clients can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences while gaining deeper insight into themselves and their patterns. Her style draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, play therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She values creating a space where clients feel seen, valued, and understood.
At Wellspring, she works with children, teens, and young adults navigating life transitions and identity development, including big changes like starting college, moving out, or figuring out what’s next. She supports clients facing challenges with school stress, friendships, relationships, family dynamics, anxiety, OCD, self-esteem, and family transitions like divorce or separation. In her work with children, she collaborates closely with caregivers to help kids build emotional awareness, strengthen emotional regulation skills and coping strategies, and develop the resilience to thrive at home, school, and in relationships.
Rebecca earned her B.S. in Health Sciences and B.A. in Psychology from Chapman University, followed by an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco. During graduate school, she completed a traineeship at Berkeley City College and worked with students ages 18-50.
Beyond her clinical work, Rebecca has an extensive background in competitive gymnastics, collegiate-diving, and coaching young athletes of all ages. She appreciates positive self-talk, the power of visualization, and grounding exercises—techniques she integrates into her clinical work. In her free time, she enjoys singing, crafting, and practicing handstands.
