Rebecca DeAngelis, AMFT (she/her)

Rebecca is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who approaches her therapeutic work with curiosity and compassion. She believes therapy is a space for self-exploration and aims to foster an environment where clients can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Her style is interactive, supportive, and non-judgemental and draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness.

Rebecca received her B.S. in Health Sciences and B.A. in Psychology from Chapman University and her M.A. in Counseling Psychology, with a Concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy, from the University of San Francisco. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she developed a strong fascination for the connection between physical and psychological well-being. During her graduate studies, she completed a traineeship at Berkeley City College, providing individual therapy to college students. She helped guide clients through anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, gender identity and sexual orientation exploration, relationship challenges, and academic stress.

Rebecca recognizes that our relationships with ourselves profoundly impact our connections with others. In her view, therapy serves as a tool for gaining insight into who we are. Through this process of understanding our experiences, behavior patterns, and external influences, we can create deeper connections with both ourselves and the world around us.

In addition to her clinical work, Rebecca has an extensive background in competitive gymnastics and coaching kids of all ages. This background taught her the power of positive self-talk, visualization, and grounding exercises, which she brings into her therapeutic work.

Rebecca enjoys singing, crafting, and practicing handstands.
